Frequently Asked Questions
How does Emmi-pet dog teeth cleaning work?
The Emmi-pet toothbrush uses ultrasonic technology together with specialist toothpaste. The brush head is held gently against the teeth rather than being scrubbed backwards and forwards. This allows dental hygiene to be carried out without a rotating brush head or vigorous mechanical brushing.
How many sessions will my dog need?
There is no fixed number because every dog is different. A dog with relatively clean teeth and light plaque may need fewer sessions, while a dog with more visible surface build-up may benefit from an initial course of weekly Zoomies appointments. We review progress as the sessions continue and keep expectations realistic.
Does my dog need sedation or anaesthetic?
No. The Zoomies Emmi-pet hygiene service is carried out while your dog is awake and does not involve sedation or anaesthetic.
Is this the same as a veterinary dental cleaning?
No. Zoomies provides a non-invasive dental hygiene and maintenance service. We do not diagnose or treat dental disease, and our service does not replace veterinary dentistry where treatment is clinically required.
Can I add teeth cleaning to my dog’s groom?
Yes. A standalone session is €35, while grooming customers can add Emmi-pet teeth cleaning for €25 — a 29% saving. This is the easiest way to make dental hygiene part of your dog’s regular grooming routine.
