OUR STORY
Zoomies was founded in Dubai in 2022 by Irish couple Sheena and Chris,
long-time dog owners who understand first-hand that not all dogs experience the
world in the same way.
They share their lives with two very different dogs: George, a large, friendly
Labrador who loves everyone, and Cody, a sensitive Saluki mix who can be
reactive when frightened but is deeply intuitive once he feels safe. Their
experience with both dogs shaped a clear belief — great dog care isn’t
one-size-fits-all.
When Sheena and Chris launched Zoomies, it was driven by frustration with the
lack of facilities that truly offered personalised, thoughtful care. They set out to
build something better.
Just three years later, Zoomies is the highest-rated dog daycare and boarding
facility on Google and was recently named Best Daycare at industry awards,
alongside being runner-up for Best Boarding out of more than 50 facilities.
That same philosophy, experience, and standard of care is now coming home to
Ireland.
Individual Care, Not One-Size-Fits-All
Calm, Structured Environments
Uncompromising Standards of Care
Chris Lynch – Founder
Chris founded Zoomies after recognising the lack of dog care facilities that matched his own
expectations as a dog owner. With a background in tech and operations, he set out to build a
daycare and boarding service he would genuinely trust with his dogs. Chris remains closely
involved in the growth, standards, and day-to-day execution of the business.
Sheena Lennon – Founder
Sheena co-founded Zoomies after moving to Dubai from Ireland, where she had spent several
years working as a nurse in St Vincent’s A&E. She brought that same caring, empathetic
approach into the heart of Zoomies.
Sheena designed the core processes and procedures from day one and trained the team to
ensure the focus was always on delivering exceptional care. Her influence is reflected in the
calm environment, attention to detail, and consistent standards that define the Zoomies
experience today.
LAUREN HOLTEN – HEAD GROOMER
Lauren has been grooming professionally since 2022
and has quickly established herself as a highly skilled groomer through a strong commitment to
continuous learning and professional development. In 2025, she began competing in grooming
competitions with immediate success, achieving 1st place in Open Handstripping with her
Miniature Schnauzer, Nigel, and 2nd place in Champion Handstripping at Madra Mania,
Ireland’s largest grooming competition. That same year, she was nominated for Up and Coming
Groomer of the Year at the Celtic Coat Awards — a significant milestone early in her career.
Lauren specialises in terriers and handstripping, with experience preparing dogs for the show
ring. She regularly works with Kerry Blue Terriers, Wire Fox Terriers, Miniature Schnauzers, and
Cocker Spaniels, and has also been invited to groom Kerry Blue Terriers at Crufts. As Head
Groomer at Zoomies, Lauren brings exceptional technical expertise, competitive experience,
and a calm, professional approach to every groom — ensuring each dog receives the highest
standard of care in a positive, reassuring environment.
KATELYN GRANT – DOG GROOMER
Katelyn’s journey into dog grooming began with a deep
passion for animal care and welfare. She holds a QQI Level 5 qualification in Animal Care and
has completed a professional dog grooming qualification, giving her a strong foundation in
canine health, safe handling, and modern grooming techniques. Katelyn has gained hands-on
experience working with a wide range of breeds and coat types and is known for her attention to
detail and ability to deliver tidy, well-balanced grooms tailored to each dog’s individual needs.
She strongly believes that how a dog feels during their groom is just as important as the final
result. Her calm, gentle approach helps dogs feel safe, relaxed, and understood — particularly
those that are nervous or sensitive.
BONNIE DONNELL – DOG GROOMER
Bonnie began her grooming career as a Junior
Groomer and has spent the past two years developing her skills within a professional salon
environment. Through hands-on experience and a strong commitment to learning, she has built
a solid understanding of breed standards across a wide range of coat types, with a particular
passion for terriers. Early in her career, Bonnie achieved 2nd place in the Beginners category at
the Grooming Got Talent competition, highlighting her potential from an early stage. Bonnie
places huge importance on emotional wellbeing and is dedicated to creating a calm, positive
grooming experience where dogs feel safe, relaxed, and happy to return.
